Ferry debate in parliament

MP Andrew Turner has secured a debate on Isle of Wight Ferry services, to be held in parliament this coming Monday (the 13th of October).

Mr Turner said: "I am pleased to have secured this debate and have already spoken informally with the new Transport Minister responsible for maritime issues, John Hayes MP.

“I applied for the debate because many people have been raising a range of issues with me about our ferry services over recent months. I will be reviewing their communications before the debate.

“Over the next few weeks I shall also be inviting input from the ferry user groups, the people behind the Better Ferry Campaign, the organisers of the ‘Are Wightlink the Right Link’ Facebook page, and the ferry companies themselves before finalising my speech. I will have 15 minutes to speak and the minister the same amount of time to respond.”

Here is an opportunity to let your opinions be heard!

Let us know your biggest problems with the current Ferry services and how this affects your lives and businesses. Every voice counts.
